*These bases are made of a composite wood product, medium density fiberboard (MDF).
There are many advantages of MDF over wood. It has a very smooth surface
since the wood fibers used in the manufacturing are uniform and fine.
It does not warp and cup like wood and has no end grain direction and therefore
it accepts primer and paint more evenly than wood.

The two sizes we offer are: 5 3/4" and 7 3/4" square x 3/4" thick.
The center hole will slip 1/8 IPS, the side wire hole will accept
18/2 SPT-2 cord and the bottom hole is 1 1/2" dia. with steel reinforcement (see above photo on right).
They are supplied unfinished and ready to prime/seal and decorate.
